So let's get on with it. We must put the case for Brexit anew. We must take nothing for granted. It doesn't matter what we do with the money. We can put it in the NHS or buy pink elephants with it. The point is it's hard working British peoples' money and it should be spent on them. The EU is not democratic. The people who run it are oligarchical despots - and not benevolent ones either. Paying all this money for "free trade" - what a contradiction in terms! And who benefits? Not the ordinary people who stump up the cash! And why, for this "free trade" do we have to let Brussels/ Strasbourg (EU have two Parliaments) make 59% of our laws? How does that work? Well, it doesn't. We only rubber stamp their commands in our Parliament. We are vassals and our Parliament is a puppet EU...
I flew alone (An allegory of Man's eternal quest for love) I flew alone in stormy skies and forced my tired, aching eyes past looming clouds and dark despair through lightning laden night time air in desperate search for guiding light with only ragged tops in sight. The hungry mountains mocked my breath cold granite peaks forewarned of death and thunder drums...
I usually take a dim view of people dressing up helpless animals ... but as I made a monkeyof myself as well, I thought I might be excused for this one! Enjoy your holidays! Silvia
(A real simple, borderline awful "poem" to several writing friends of mine who suffer from severe depression, and who are medicated up to the eyeballs. It's not good.... You guys worry me... And if you ask me, I wouldn't remotely trust any of that pharmaceutical CRAP anyway.) Oxygen I will admit I'm just a boy and when I aim to fly real high and take my silver...
INTERMEZZO An interesting question may be as follows: "If Life for us humans is temporary and finite, then is this experience we are having just a mere intermezzo? An interlude? A pause?" And, leading on from that: "If so, then what are we pausing FOR?" If Life is the popcorn break, then what is the movie that's playing?  If Life is the anomaly,...
Photo by Francis Meyrick A Blip on the Radar Part 12:  No Man is an Island I have read stories and biographies that, in the final thrust, left me unable to identify, to connect, with the protagonist. It was as if the make-up team had been in. The dreaded publicist. Massaging the true writer away. With powder, and eye shadow, and a nip here, and a tuck there. Somehow, what...
