I was a high time fixed wing pilot, a certified fixed wing Flying Instructor, and I regarded wings that ROTATED, that were held on with only ONE NUT, as the preserve of RAVING NUTS.
Only complete LUNATICS flew helicopters, in my world view.
I have no idea what possessed me to go for a helicopter trial lesson.
It was a really, really BAD idea.
