About the Author

I'm currently a student at the least religious college in the nation (eat that Reed). Ironically, faith is very important to me. I'm not always constant with it, but I can concede that, even when I lack it, it is vital.

A tribute to your "Godly Flash"
"I allow for a godly flash." -someone you don't know
I wait for God's flash
no guiding light, no answer
just proof of this,
my question
I buzz with people, in and out of hives,
buildings sectioned to make their honey
as crowds go
and this
me
so complex I seem sedentary
a stone, the laughing rock
sunk in the river rumbling
its tears to the willow in a blooming garden
I wait for God to flash, not to see my path
wind in and around the lines of shadow
on fingers interlocked or lips
shaded like a black bolt
lightning shot down foreheads
to noses to lips again
as a kiss severs
No, not to lead me there
to the end of mystery
but I wait
for the flash
to say that each mite on my skin
is remembered for holding hairs
each cell that whites and widens
to close the lips of opened skin
and hold millions more like it in
each seen in task, trial, and termination
then flash
could God prove a questionLast edited by Alister Flik on July 28, 2010, 4:04 am

Great imagery - your forte.
Could the flash be more of a quiet, still, dew softened dawn?
